A henley shirt rose to fame in the 1970s from the English town of Henley-on-thames. It is collarless men’s shirt considered as casual wear for men. It has a short row of about 3 to 6 buttons in the front of the shirt and is very similar looking to a polo shirt or even a round neck casual t-shirt. The sleeves of the shirt may be long, short or folded over. There may be a hoodie in some designs and may also be worn over a collared shirt.
They are more commonly a part of men’s clothing but have gotten popular with women as well.
